and talking until the candles are burned down.'
-Madeline L'Engle
After welcoming their friends and family to their Irish destination wedding with a rustic picnic lunch (see it all in Part One), Jo and Andrew invited guests to Ballyfin Demesne for a candle lit welcome dinner. Guests were greeted on the steps of the house with umbrellas and warm cider amidst the Irish drizzle. Once ushered out of the weather they stepped into the historic estate where a pianist's music filed the high ceilings and hallways. Guests were later guided to their seats marked with hand calligraphed ivy place cards where they would share a family style meal of Jo and Andrew's favorite traditional faire from the Ballyfin kitchen. The ambiance was beautifully warm and cheerful as guests became acquainted and shared stories of their relationships with Jo and Andrew.
After dinner the festivities continued in the Library with the sounds of a traditional Irish Acoustic Band while trays of cigars and Irish Whiskey were passed. It was a beautiful scene and the perfect eve to their wedding celebrations...
