This spring we traveled to the breathtaking Amalfi Coast for the Moda e Arte Workshop in Ravello, Italy. After the workshop we spent a couple of days taking in the beauty and history that the coast offers before returning home. Serendipitously, Andy and Adam were also on the Amalfi Coast celebrating their first anniversary together and prior Andy had arranged to surprise her husband Adam with a photo session in beautiful Positano. The idyllic coast couldn't have provided us with a better backdrop to capture the milestone and journey for these two lovebirds...
Thank you so much Grey Likes Weddings for sharing this session on their blog, you can see it all here!

'We had such a wonderful time that we couldn't bear to go back to our regular lives,
and so we decided we just wouldn't... and then the greatness began.'
Looking back at 4 years since we celebrated in the mountains together. So lucky to have such an incredible partner in this adventure we call life...

Italy holds so many treasures and among them I think the Amalfi Coast is one of the finest. Around each corner is something to be discovered... wandering the narrow paths of Positano, exploring the vast views of Villa Cimbrone and awakening to the smell of the lemon trees that seem to simply be everywhere. The pastel colored coast of the Amalfi is breathtaking and I can't wait to return as there is so much more to explore...
Come join us; this October we will be back in the beautiful village of Ravello for the next Moda e Arte Workshop; you can learn more about this Italian adventure here.

One of my favorite quotes that rings even more true in the summer months. Salt water and summer simply go together... See more of Lisa and Adrian's destination engagement session here.

Bomi and Billy hosted their nearest and dearest for their elegant destination wedding at the historic Thornewood Castle in Tacoma, Washington. They exchanged self-penned vows in the estate's sunken English garden while Bomi looked timeless in her Romana Kevaza gown. Later, they danced and dined with family and friends lakefront under the open sky.
You can see more of their beautiful wedding featured in the Summer 2014 issue of Martha Stewart Weddings and their full story on Martha Stewart online here. Their New York City engagement session is one of my favorites, so full of love and surprises, see it here.

We had such a wonderful afternoon getting to know Inga and James during their engagement session that took us from the heart of San Francisco to the Legion of Honor and the rolling hills of Sonoma; it was the perfect prelude to their gorgeous wedding. You can see more of their session and read their incredible love story on Style Me Pretty.

We are torn between nostalgia for the familiar and an
urge for the foreign and strange. As often as not, we are
homesick most for the places we have never known.

It's been a beautiful summer of travel and spending a few moments between in my home state of Nevada. The landscapes are something to inspire... As we travel back across the country it will surely remain in my dreams. Very grateful for so many things this week...
